What We Do

Serrans meet for First Friday Mass at 7:00 a.m. followed by a breakfast meeting and for a 6:00 p.m. Mass on the Third Thursday of each month followed by dinner and a Spiritual Talk or general discussion. The spiritual Talks and/or discussions help to contribute to our members’ education and spiritual growth, which is necessary if we are to fulfill our Mission.

In fulfilling our mission as Serrans, we pray constantly for vocations through our Club 31.  We visit and speak at each Mass in each parish regularly about the need for more vocations. We encourage others to pray daily and offer or attend an extra mass each month for vocations.

We arrange affirmation events for the clergy and other religious of the Archdiocese of Vancouver. We provide support and assistance whenever possible.

The Serra Club of Vancouver works very closely with the Vocation Office of the Archdiocese of Vancouver. We provide support for various vocation related programs.

Our Chaplains are Fathers James Hughes and Hien Nguyen who are also the Vocation Directors of the Archdiocese of Vancouver. Together we promote vocations to the priesthood and religious life through parish visitations.

Clergy Retirement Home Fund:
We need to look after our retired priests. To keep our retired priests in Vancouver, we need to provide them with a home. The Archbishop and his Archdiocesan Finance Council are supportive of this project. We have two apartments donated towards the fund already. Pray for the success of this project.
