VANSPEC offers Catholic catechetical instruction to children and adults who are challenged, by intellectual disabilities or Specific Learning Disabilities.

VANSPEC offers special events during the year such as Eucharistic Celebrations, a Christmas Party, Special Prayer and Retreat days for catechists and parents, as well as a Parent Support Group.

A Summer Camp Program is also offered for the students by the Friends of VANSPEC, an auxiliary group.
