complete marriage and are willing to try to put the past behind and work at rediscovering
each other in a new and positive way.

What is Retrouvaille?
Retrouvaille is the name of a program designed to help heal and renew troubled
marriages.
The word "Retrouvaille" simply means "rediscovery". Our program offers
you the chance to rediscover yourself, your spouse, and a loving relationship in your
marriage.
Whom can Retrouvaille help?
If your marriage has become unloving and uncaring
or if your relationship has grown cold and distant, if there is little or no meaningful
communication or if you feel disappointment even despair - then we believe Retrouvaille
can help your marriage.
If you are thinking of separation or divorce or you are already
separated, but want to try again - then we believe Retrouvaille can help.
If you and your spouse want your marriage and are willing to put in
your best effort - then we invite you, even urge you, to come to us.
Retrouvaille is aimed at people in first marriages. Although it is a
Catholic program, we welcome couples of other faiths. However, as it is designed to help
marriages, we do not recommend it to those living common-law.
How can Retrouvaille help?
The emphasis in the program is on a new technique of
communication between a husband and wife.
The program consists of a weekend and several follow-up sessions.
On the weekend, a series of in-depth presentations are given to you and
other couples like yourselves. Each presentation, given by one of three married couples
and a priest, focuses on a specific area of marital relationship. After each presentation,
you will have a chance to reflect on it by yourself, then discuss it with your spouse in
complete privacy.
The weekend is not a spiritual retreat, not a sensitivity group, not a
seminar, nor is it a social gathering.
You will not be asked to share your problems with anyone else.
You will, however, be encouraged to put the past behind you and start
"rediscovering" one another again.
The weekend is not a "miracle cure," therefore, follow-up
sessions have been designed to continue the marriage renewal begun on the weekend. These
follow-ups review earlier concepts in greater depth, present new ones and help you apply
these concepts to your own marriage.

What will it cost?
No couple is ever denied the chance to heal and renew
their marriage because they face financial difficulties. This concern should not influence
your decision to come to Retrouvaille.
On the weekend, you will be asked to make a donation.
One donation will cover the expenses of lodging, food, and materials for both
the Weekend and the Post Weekend phase.
A non-refundable registration fee is
required to confirm your reservation, food and lodging. There
is limited capacity, so early registration is necessary.
