What Kind of Clients Do You Work With

I have experience journeying alongside people of all ages– children, adolescents, and adults. I accompany individuals to process grief and loss (infertility, post-abortive, miscarriage, suicide), money matters, life transitions (menopause, retirement, separation, divorce), OCD behaviours, ADHD behaviours, eating and food issues, scrupulosity, interpersonal relationship struggles at home and at work, varying degrees of trauma (physical, emotional, sexual, spiritual, and developmental), and feelings of anxiety, stress, and depression.

Message from Therapist

The Catholic Christian understanding of the person, being created in God’s image and likeness, informs my therapeutic approach. Each person has innate dignity and the ability to improve his or her emotional and psychological health. The process of wellness is about becoming curious about our stories and lived experiences. To ask ourselves, why do I think the way I do or behave the way I do is a starting point. I am privileged to accompany individuals to flourish and help them unpack the messages in their stories.

Bio

I have a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counselling from Divine Mercy University and my undergraduate degree is in Theology. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC.

Counselling Methods Used

I use a holistic approach, integrating all domains of the human person– physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual. I work from an attachment-based developmental approach based on the material of Canadian developmental psychologist Dr. Gordon Neufeld. I am trained in Internal Family Systems Level One and Level Two– Trauma and Neuroscience.
